System Developer with .NET Focus
Do you want to use your skills as a system developer for something that makes a difference? At the Swedish Food Agency, we work with digital solutions that support one of society's most important missions – safe food for everyone. We are now looking for a system developer with a focus on .NET who wants to work long-term with stable, mission-critical systems in an environment where technology and social benefit go hand in hand.
Your Role
As a system developer at the Swedish Food Agency, you will be part of a stable and experienced development team that works with the development and management of mission-critical systems. The role has a long-term focus, where quality, structure, and collaboration are central parts of everyday life.
You will work with .NET-based solutions that are important for the agency's digital support and are used in several parts of the organization. The work includes both further development and management, with the opportunity to gradually improve and modernize systems and platforms based on the needs of the business.
Your Responsibilities
As a system developer, you will among other things:
- Develop and manage .NET-based systems
- Work with both backend and frontend in C#, ASP.NET, and Blazor
- Develop APIs and integration solutions
- Work with databases and Entity Framework
- Contribute to automated testing and good code quality
- Work in an agile development team
- Document solutions and follow technical developments
Unit for Digitalization and IT
In the unit for digitalization and IT, we work to develop and manage the Swedish Food Agency's IT support. Here, there are development teams with system developers, IT architects, testers, and requirements analysts who collaborate closely with each other and with the business.
You will be part of a team where knowledge sharing, quality, and long-term focus are important parts of the work.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- At least three years of experience in .NET development
- Experience with C# and ASP.NET
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
And good knowledge in:
- .NET (Core / .NET 6+)
- NET Core (MVC, Web API)
- Entity Framework Core
- SQL or another relational database
- Git and version control
It is an advantage if you also have experience with:
- Azure and cloud-based services
- Work in the public sector
- Agile working methods
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD
- Docker and containerization
- Automated testing (xUnit, NUnit)
- ML/LLM
- English in speech and writing

To thrive in the role, you are responsible, collaborative, and solution-oriented. You have an interest in the development of technology, are happy to share your knowledge, and have the ability to see both technical and business needs.
